The Athens Regional Medical Center Diabetes Center shopping tour has become an event that the community looks forward to each spring and fall. Pris Cornwall, RN, CDE, crafted the first tour more than 11 years ago to teach her diabetic patients how to shop for the foods she counsels them to eat. The tours caught on quickly and soon became open to anyone interested in how to shop right to eat well.

If you have diabetes, you're at risk for diabetic neuropathy. Though there are medicines to manage nerve pain, good blood sugar control is still the best medicine.
